May I suggest adding some vintage luggage to every room?
A few pieces on top of the entertainment center in the family room, would be a perfect place to store loads of extra DVDs. 
Stacking them next to your bed as a night stand would give you plenty of extra room for those bulky sweaters. 
Organizing those family photos and even hiding the children's toys when it's time for some adult entertaining. Some vintage luggage might just be an easy fix. Currently we have some great pieces with lots of personality for sale at HiHo. I look forward to pointing them out to you soon.
